The Experience
- Experience Dimbola Museum & Galleries after dark, when one of the Isle of Wight's most fascinating historic buildings falls silent. By day, visitors explore its rich heritage and artistic legacy... By night, the atmosphere becomes altogether more intriguing. Victorian corridors grow quiet. The shadows deepen around rooms filled with history. The stories of those connected to the building seem closer than ever. Join DAW Paranormal as we explore this remarkable location through vigils, experiments and investigation, discovering a side of Dimbola that few visitors ever experience. As the building settles into the night, even the smallest sound feels amplified — a creak, a movement, a presence you can’t quite explain. Throughout the evening, you’ll take part in structured vigils and have the opportunity to explore the museum in smaller groups. Using a range of paranormal equipment, you’ll be encouraged to interact, observe, and question everything you experience. This is not about being told what to believe. It’s about placing yourself in the environment… feeling it for yourself… and deciding what is real. Because in a place like this, the line between imagination and something more can become very thin.
What to expect
You’ll be greeted by our team and once everyone arrives you will be given a health and safety talk and a walkthrough of the location.
- With strictly limited places available, you will experience something close and immersive. Guests will be split into smaller groups for much of the evening, led by experienced members of the DAW Paranormal team. Each group will separately spend time in areas devoted to Julia Margaret Cameron and to current artists. You will experiment with traditional Victorian-style vigils, as well as more modern techniques and the opportunity to experience paranormal equipment for yourselves. Everyone will then come together in for a final experiment and a debrief of the evening, before bidding the museum goodnight and making your way home.
The Location
- Many visitors to the museum report unusual sensations – from feeling watched, to sudden chills, or glimpses of movement in the corners of their vision. Staff find areas. The exhibits, some contemporary to the Victorian era, appear to hold more than just history. This unique setting makes Dimbola Museum & Galleries one of the Isle of Wight’s most intriguing locations for paranormal investigation.
Our Approach
We believe the paranormal should be approached with both curiosity and caution.
At DAW Paranormal, we don’t stage activity or jump to conclusions. Instead, we create the conditions for genuine investigation — where environment, mindset, and the unknown all play a role in shaping the experience.
Some moments can be explained. Others feel harder to dismiss.
Our role isn’t to convince you of anything.
It’s to give you the space to experience it for yourself.
Because in the right setting, even the smallest moment can stay with you long after the night ends.
Are you ready to experience it for yourself?
