Paranormal Research & Investigation on the Isle of Wight
DAW Paranormal investigates reported paranormal phenomena through structured observation, documentation and experimentation across the Isle of Wight and Southern England.
Current Research • Lilliput Doll Museum
Our principal research project is a long-term study at Lilliput Doll Museum in Brading. Rather than relying on a single night’s impressions, we return to the location repeatedly to document environmental conditions, equipment data and independently recorded experiences over time.
The project combines structured observation with controlled experiments and comparison between sessions. Ordinary and environmental explanations are considered alongside observations that remain difficult to explain.

Our Approach
We begin with the location, not with a conclusion. During an investigation we document what is observed, record relevant environmental conditions and consider known sources of sound, light, movement and interference.
Experiences and equipment responses are treated as observations to examine rather than proof on their own. Where possible, we compare accounts, look for corroborating recordings or data, test ordinary explanations and ask whether an effect can be repeated.
Repeated visits allow us to compare sessions over time and to distinguish one-off experiences from patterns that may merit further investigation. An investigation in which nothing unusual occurs is still useful: it contributes to the record and provides a comparison for future sessions.

Locations We Investigate
Our investigations take place in historic and unusual locations, each with its own environment, history and reported experiences. Some locations are revisited so observations can be compared over time, while others form part of individual investigations or public sessions.
Lilliput Doll Museum
BRADING • ISLE OF WIGHT
Our principal longitudinal research location, where repeated sessions allow environmental data, recorded observations and structured experiments to be compared over time.
Dimbola Museum & Galleries
FRESHWATER • ISLE OF WIGHT
A distinctive Victorian location where DAW documents experiences and equipment observations while considering the building, environment and ordinary explanations alongside anything that remains unexplained.
Trinity Theatre
COWES • ISLE OF WIGHT
A working community theatre with its own acoustics, lighting, backstage spaces and long history—making careful environmental context particularly important during investigation.
Investigate With DAW
DAW Paranormal occasionally opens selected investigations to small numbers of participants. These are designed around the investigation rather than entertainment: guests take an active role, work alongside the team and contribute their own observations.
As DAW moves toward a more research-led model, public investigations will be offered selectively rather than as a constant programme of fixed-date events. This allows us to keep groups small, choose locations and sessions carefully, and focus our time and resources on the investigation itself.
We are developing a Register Your Interest system so people can tell us they would like to take part before future dates are arranged. Until that is ready, any currently available public investigations can still be found on our Events page.

What Guests Have Said About Investigating With DAW
- The team were very welcoming and friendly and had some great equipment, that I’d never had the opportunity of using before. Would definitely recommend and would love to investigate with you again sometime in the future. Pauline
- The organisation, team and location were great. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Emma
- We thoroughly enjoyed all our time there meeting like minded people and investigating in a new place. David
- Thank you for a great evening. With all paranormal investigations you never know what will come through. We experienced a lot of cold chills in the lower area with a shadow that seemed to peek around the door frame at the end of the hall. Also the emf going off at multiple times and different people getting chills. Nicola
